#1 Goal of the Government of New Scotland
The first and main goal of the Government, Monarchy, and Country of New Scotland is to deplete the output of pollution, reduce the "carbon footprint" of humanity, and thus conserve life, nature, balance and equilibrium of existence, and the world. The aforementioned aims to do this through the use of practical, historical technology and animal- and man-power, instead of through gasoline, oil, and modern progressive technologies.
Most, if not all, of the technologies to be employed by New Scotland are reusable and "recyclable", thus also lessening the output of waste and the use of landfills, which cause and contribute to much of the world's pollution, and also hopes to deplete these to the extent that they will become obsolete, superfluous, and unnecessary in general to the world.
New Scotland aims to achieve this goal through the educating of potential and guaranteed citizens of New Scotland and the educating of those whom are not interested in becoming citizens, whether or not they may be interested in the future.

#2 Goal of the Government of New Scotland
The second goal of the Government, Monarchy, and Country of New Scotland is to achieve recognition as a sovereign nation-state the world over, being recognised as such by Micro- and Macro-nations. New Scotland seeks to achieve this goal through perseverance, knowledgeability, and the meeting of requirements set down by the United Nations, which are currently thus: The United Nations currently only requires that a sovereign state has an effective and independent government within a defined territory. According to current international law norms, states are only required to have an effective and independent system of government pursuant to a community within a defined territory. (cited from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty).
The goal of New Scotland correlating to the recognition of the same as a sovereign nation-state is to maintain constant peaceful relations with the various other nation-states of the world, recognising the sovereignty of those pre-established nation-states, and only becoming aggressive in a defensive manner, if and when threatened, required, and/or need be.
The Government, Monarchy, and Country of New Scotland has met half of this requirement through a structured, working government (for more information, please browse this site and/or write the official e-mail of the Government of New Scotland, found on the Contacts page of this site, and throughout other pages). The requirement of "defined territory" is another goal New Scotland plans to meet within the very near future. For further information, please see below.

#3 Goal of the Government of New Scotland
The third goal of the Government, Monarchy, and Country of New Scotland is to acquire territory through purchase or the claiming of unclaimed land. To start, the Government would like to acquire several acres, enough to satisfy a small town and at least three (3) farms (complete with various crops and livestock). Where this territory is to be shall be determined at a later date, but, because of the culture of New Scotland, the Government prefers to acquire territory in a temperate climate and an "under-developed" area, such as that of North or South Dakota in the United States of America or the Scottish Highlands in the United Kingdom.
When territory is acquired by the Government, Monarchy, and Nation of New Scotland, a definite announcement will be made on this, the Official Website of the Government of New Scotland, and the correlating Social Networking websites of the same. For more information on the Official Social Networkings of the Government, please see the Contacts page located on this site.
